There are a ton of fall festivals going on this month, and one of them is a short drive to Murfreesboro, Ark., for the Diamonds in the Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017.

The festival is set to get underway at 10AM in the town square downtown Murfreesboro. There will plenty food and crafts, a cakewalk, bounce houses, small kids' carnival, bucking bull ride and live music all day including a performance from the Bear Creek Boys.

In addition there will be a chili cook-off beginning at 8AM with chili available for purchase at noon. Other activities include a Pumpkin pie baking contest, a pie eating contest, and pumpkin decorating for kids. There will be a kiddie costume contest for various age groups with prizes to be awarded. You can also enter your dog into the doggie contest for bag of doggie treats and toys.

New this year is a Family Fun Walk/Run to be held at the South Pike County School. The race starts at 8AM. Pre-registration is $20 and $25 day of the race.
