Yesterday (10/21) I was taking the kids to school when I noticed in the sky, a rainbow. So I told my oldest girl to snap a picture. But as I proceeded to look I noticed there were two rainbows one was very clear the other a little more faint but none the less very beautiful. It had just started to sprinkle and the sky even gave off a purple hue of colors as the sun reflected through the clouds. I don't know about you but every time that I see a rainbow it reminds me of God's love. Everyone always says there is a pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow but I would like to think that gold everyone talks about is the streets of gold in heaven at the end of the rainbow.

What exactly is a rainbow? Here's the definition of the word: an arch of colors formed in the sky in certain circumstances, caused by the refraction and dispersion of the sun's light by rain or other water droplets in the atmosphere.

My most personal reminder of what a rainbow means can be found in this bible verse.

God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; 13I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth. 14"It shall come about, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud,…

A rainbow also makes me think of the movie "The Wizard of Oz" when Dorothy is trying to find her way back to Kansas "Somewhere over the Rainbow."

Whatever the case or belief you have a rainbow always seems to make someone smile.
