This one rule makes us love Dierks Bentley even more.

For as high energy and fun as Dierks Bentley is, he does a spectacular job of staying out of the tabloids and out of trouble. We never hear about Dierks getting a divorce (knock on wood) or passing out drunk in the Taco Bell drive-thru. He's a good guy.

And he attributes that to one rule he lives by.

According to a recent interview with CMT.com, Dierks puts a lot of attention on his relationship with his family. He wants to make sure that they are taken care of. He even said he wants "to be as successful as a father" as an entertainer. This family-minded approach to life, coupled with is extreme gumption for life and people makes us love Dierks even more than we thought we could.

He's even passed up reality television.

“I feel like I’ve got a nice little niche where I stay just below the radar, which is perfect. I just don’t want to be known for anything other than music."

This is also what makes Dierks so approachable in public. My husband had an experience with him at an air show and he was honestly the nicest person out there. My husband told me Dierks would have stood and talked for hours with him if he wanted to.

What a breath of fresh air in the world of fame and fortune.
