Elephants Keep Their Large Trailer Truck From Tipping Over [VIDEO]

Elephants to the rescue!! You heard the story on our Global Oddities this morning and now we found the video. In Louisiana yesterday morning a trailer truck was kept from tipping over on the side of I-49 by, yes elephants.

This is definitely an 'Aw' story. What happens when a trailer truck carrying 3 elephants parks on the side of the road then starts leaning, like way to much leaning? Just let the elephants pitch in and help. These are such beautiful animals. I think the little kid in all of us comes out on this one. Who doesn't love to see elephants at the circus or the zoo? Oh by the way, these elephants where on their way to Dallas for, yep, a circus. I think they should get a day off and lots of treats too for a job well done.

According to Q13Fox News:

The Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office says the truck was carrying three elephants from New Orleans to Dallas but got stuck Tuesday when it pulled over onto the soft shoulder of Interstate 49 near Powhatan, about halfway through its trip.

The truck was leaning toward a ditch. The driver led two of the elephants onto the slope between the truck and ditch and used them to help prop it up.

Police did not say who owns the elephants or the tractor-trailer. A wrecker pulled the rig out of the mud. The driver was not cited.
No citations were issued and no injuries were reported.
