My how time flies. It's hard to believe but the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley, would have been 81 years-old today if he had lived. Elvis touched fans from all over the world and has been a musical inspiration for countless generations.

Many fans flocked to Memphis, Tenn., this week to pay tribute to the legendary superstar at the last place he called home, Graceland. New this year is the 2016 VIP exhibit, "Elvis in Hollywood: From Teen Idol to Leading Man," which opened yesterday, Jan. 8, 2016. The exhibit features artifacts from his movies Love Me Tender, Loving You, and Viva Las Vegas presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

In addition to on-site and online auctions there will be a birthday proclamation ceremony  on the lawn at Graceland, which will feature local dignitaries and a birthday ceremony. Visitors can then enjoy a slice of cake from the Chrome Grille, across from Graceland Plaza, according to the Examiner.

If you can't make it to Memphis, get ready for the very first Texas Tribute to Elvis in Dallas March 4-6, 2016 at South Fork Ranch.
