Main Street El Dorado announced today the 2016 lineup for the Murphy USA Summer Concert Series. The outdoor concert series is free to the public and will feature nationally recognized musicians performing on Union Square in the heart of historic downtown El Dorado. The concerts are scheduled for the fourth Saturday of June, July and August.

The series will kick off on Saturday, June 25 with Warner Nashville recording artist William Michael Morgan. This Mississippi-born country singer-songwriter was named one of Rolling Stone’s “Country Artists to Watch” in 2016. His debut single, “I Met a Girl,” was co-written with Sam Hunt, Old Dominion’s Trevor Rosen and Shane McAnally and is featured on his self-titled debut EP. The single had immediate success, reaching the top spot on Sirius XM’s The Highway chart and is currently climbing the Billboard Country Airplay charts. Morgan made his Grand Ole Opry debut last fall.

The next performance of the summer takes place Saturday, July 23 with former ACM Vocal Group of the Year, Little Texas, bringing their 25th Anniversary Tour to Union Square. Since their debut album in 1992, Little Texas has sold over 7 million albums, earned 3 Grammy nominations, won a CMA Album of the Year award and earned the title of “The Hardest Working Band in County Music” by playing more than 300 shows a year. The band has charted 20 singles to date, with 12 reaching the Top-20 including fan favorites “God Blessed Texas,” “Kick a Little,” “Amy’s Back in Austin,” “My Love,” “What Might Have Been” and “First Time for Everything.”

The final performance of the summer will feature 2016 ACM Female Vocalist of the Year nominee Jana Kramer on Saturday, Aug. 27. In 2012, Kramer’s self-titled debut album yielded the hit single “Why Ya Wanna,” which became the most played debut single of the year and led her to being named the 2012 ACM Top New Female Vocalist of the Year. Her follow-up album, 2015’s thirty one, featured the lead single “I Got the Boy” which was Gold certified and ranked among the Top-10 of Rolling Stone’s “25 Best Country Songs of 2015.” The album itself debuted with career-best sales numbers, landing in the Top 10 of the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart and at Number Three on the Country Albums Chart. The album’s second single, “Said No One Ever,” was released in April and is currently entering the charts. Prior to her musical success, Kramer was a successful actress best known for her role as Alex Dupre on the television series One Tree Hill. She has also had recurring roles in Friday Night Lights, 90210, Gray’s Anatomy and Entourage.

Each concert in the Murphy USA Showtime Concert Series will begin with pre-event music at 7 p.m. on the Showtime Stage, with the headliner taking the stage at 8 p.m. The event will follow Main Street El Dorado's award-winning Showdown at Sunset performance, beginning at 6 p.m. on the steps of the Union County Courthouse at 101 N. Washington St., the center of historic Union Square. This award-winning event was named one of the Top-100 Events in North America by the American Bus Association and received the Community Trademark Award by the Arkansas Festival and Event Association.
