Mark you calendar for September 13th, CASA for Children is holding the second color run on Trinity Baptist Church’s cross country track. The run is named in Amanda Fussell Woodman’s honor for her many years of devotion to child abuse prevention in Texarkana and the surrounding 12 counties. Amanda trained advocate volunteers, raised funds and recruited for CASA. The day of the event, we will open registration at 8:30am and the race begins at 9:00am. Runners will enjoy powder stations along the race route. Participants are encouraged to wear all white so that they may be rainbowed with a non-toxic powder. Families will be able to participate in the race and enjoy bounce houses, snow-cones, facepainting, a magician making balloon characters and a cotton candy machine. Come out to Trinity Baptist Church Saturday morning, September the 13th at 8:30am and enjoy the fun benefiting CASA.
CASA is a national non-profit volunteer organization for neglected and abused children. CASA volunteers speak to everyone involved in the child’s life. The information they gather and their recommendations help the court make informed decisions for the child.
