Farmers Bank & Trust is partnering with the American Red Cross of Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas to provide relief for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Farmers is committed to matching up to $35,000 in donations made to the American Red Cross to provide a potential total of $70,000 to the relief efforts in Texas and Louisiana.

For monetary donations to qualify for the match, donations must be made at any Farmers Bank & Trust location. Farmers Bank & Trust has locations in the communities of Magnolia, Camden, Malvern, Haskell, Hope, Blevins, Lewisville, and Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, New Boston, and Prosper, Texas. Donations can also be mailed to the Farmers Bank & Trust Headquarters at PO Box 250, Magnolia, AR 71754.

In a press release, Farmers Bank & Trust hopes the matching aspect will encourage other community members to give generously. All donations will be tax deductible and checks can be made out to the American Red Cross. Donations will be accepted for the matching donation until October 1, 2017.

Farmers Bank & Trust CEO Chris Gosnell said, “Many of our customers and employee’s families have been directly affected by the catastrophic events of Hurricane Harvey.  We feel it is our duty and responsibility to help our neighbors during their time of need with a $35,000 matching donation to the American Red Cross.”
