Florida Georgia Line and Backstreet Boys performed together at the 2017 ACM Awards, perhaps forming the supergroup we didn’t know we were missing.

The seven guys banded together for FGL’s track “God, Your Mama and Me” on FGL’s most recent record, Dig Your Roots, and brought the song to life at the ceremony — not to mention the unexpected addition of a certain throwback pop song from BSB that had everyone dancing.

FGL kicked it off with their verse of “God, Your Mama and Me,” and a chorus without their boy band companions before BSB's Nick Carter took over. The guys’ full harmonies swept in on the next chorus, as did the rest of the group, interacting with fans who were eating it up.

The catchy tune would have been enough on its own, but they decided to take it to the next level and go all-out dance party with the 1997 hit “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back),” this time with a few added vocals from the FGL guys to round it out. The crowd was all-in, particularly so many of the younger artists who grew up listening to the Backstreet Boys, including Carrie Underwood, who seemed to know every word.

The audience was all smiles as they sang along — even Keith Urban got in on the action, singing a line on the mic — enjoying the nostalgic pop tune as they neared the end of the show.

FGL took home awards for Vocal Event of the Year (“May We All” with Tim McGraw) as well as Single Record of the Year (“H.O.L.Y.") before the live show and were also nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Duo of the Year and Album of the Year.
