Those who don't approve of cross-genre collaborations, look away.

For some reason, I feel that the lines between music genres weren't so heavily drawn back in the day. Maybe I was a naive little girl growing up in the 90s, but I remember hearing country, rock and pop all played on the same station. Even some hip-hop here and there. This may be sacrilegious to country fans out there who believe that country is its own sound and should never be messed with.

Florida Georgia Line is totally sacrilegious then.

They're not the only artist or group to do a duet with a non-country artist or group, but they certainly are the latest. Remember when they blatantly professed their love for the Backstreet Boys at a show earlier this year?

That cover just landed them in the studio with their favorite boy band.

Nick Carter and Howie D of the Backstreet Boys both posted pictures in the studio with Tyler and Brian. Nick even said they are doing a song for Florida Georgia Line's new album.

I can feel the divide of excitement and despair.
