Plenty of Speculation, but no Official Word Yet on Hogs new DC.

Yesterday, it was rumored Randy Shannon, former defensive coordinator and head coach at Miami, would be officially welcomed as the new DC to replace Willie Robinson. By late yesterday evening, those rumors died down as others claimed he hadn’t even interviewed for the job.

A poster on one message board claimed that he had information from one of the players families that Shannon had indeed been hired.

While another claimed Butch Davis’s son was tweeting about returning to Arkansas.

Other claim they’ve seen Tyrone Nix (From former coach Nutt’s staff) in Fayetteville.

So, at this point. Who knows. Hopefully Coach Petrino will make an announcement soon because all the rumors are hard to keep up with!

We’ll keep you posted.
