Former Arkansas High football star Rod Smith has been selected to join the Denver Broncos Ring of Honor.Smith played for Arkansas High back in the late 80s and early 90s before playing his college career at Missouri Southern University. Smith went on to play 14 years as a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos.

Rod Smith became the only undrafted free agent to pass the 10,000 yards received milestone. He also finished his career in 15th place all time on the NFL career receptions and 16th all time in yards gained from receptions.

Smith  has maintained his local ties through efforts to help out the Texarkana Razorback Foundation and donated the  so called "Big Hog" inflatable tunnel that the football runs thru at game time.

Smith will be inducted into the Denver Broncos Ring of Honor during a ceremony at a game in Denver this September.
