Four LSU Players Out For Season

Junior linebacker Tahj Jones, senior tight end Tyler Edwards, sophomore linebacker D.J. Welter and sophomore offensive lineman Evan Washington will not suit up for the Tigers the rest of 2012.

The four players have been ruled academically ineligible. The Tigers, expected to challenge for the national championship this season, are suddenly in a position they haven't been in for awhile. Struggling to find depth in key positions. They have already lost two players to injuries in 2012 (starting offensive tackle Chris Faulk and freshman wide receiver Travin Dural) and before the season started, All-American Tyrone Mathews was dismissed from the team.
