There comes a time in every musician's life when it's time to slow down and smell the roses. After some recent health problems, George Jones is feeling a lot better and stronger so he is ready to hit the road once again. The country music legend has announced this will be his final headlining tour, namely called, the Grand Tour, which is set for 2013.

Jones said in a statement "It's tough to stop doing what you love, but the time has come." After 50 years of touring for countless country music fans, Jones hopes to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. Can't say I don't blame him, he's had a phenomenal career that's garnered decades of achievements throughout his country music career with a countless number of country hits including his most iconic Reverend song "He Stopped Loving Her Today".

Jones is not quiet done yet, he is also planning to release a new full-length album for his dedicated long time fans. The album will feature new music, some of which may be done by another legendary performer, Dolly Parton, who recently revealed she was writing for the project. She hopes to lend her vocals to the new Jones record, as well.

Jones’ 2013 Grand Tour will be a 60 city tour beginning Aug. 10, 2013 in Boonville, Mo. The tour is scheduled to wrap up Dec. 15 with a performance in Jackson, Tenn.
