Get Your Tickets – Friends of NRA Banquet is Next Tuesday, May 12

I was checking in with Greg Cook the other day to see how things were going in preparation for the 2015 Friends of NRA Banquet and Auction, and friends, if you're planning on going but haven't purchased your tickets or reserved your table yet, you had better get on it.

As I post, this we are just six days from the big night. I have my tickets. I know right where I'll be next Tuesday, May 12. Do you?

Here's the thing. If everything continues to move along as it has been, this event just might be sold out before the night.

Texarkana area youth shooting sports teams have benefited to the tune of almost $23,000 in grants from last year's Friends of NRA banquet.

The Four States Friends of NRA helped to purchase more ammo from last year's banquet than most people could shoot in a lifetime. Take a look at those smiling faces below. They're just a few that have benefited from last year's banquet/auction.

Bowie County 4-H (above) received grants for their Archery, Shotgun, Rifle and Bowie County 4-H Pistol Club that totaled to $6,446.

The East Texas Trap Shooters (above) received grant funds of $3,710.60 to purchase 38 cases of shells, earplugs and safety glasses.

The Fouke Trap Shooting Team (above) received a check for $5,962. The money will be used to buy 75 cases or 18,750 12 gauge shotgun shells.

A $6,500 grant went to the Texarkana, Ark., Razorback Trap Team (above). The money will be used to purchase an enclosed trailer so that they can transport equipment to team meets.

If you want to purchase a diner ticket it's just $40. Table prices start at $400 but don't put it off any longer.
