One of the coolest things about live shows is that anything can happen. Even Granger Smith didn't know what he was getting himself into when, on Aug. 31, he invited an adorable 2-year-old fan onstage.

“I met this little dude tonight,” Smith writes on his Twitter page alongside a video taken during his show in Pennsylvania. “He has some nerves of steel!”

Smith met the little boy, Bryson, during a pre-show meet-and-greet. Bryson's mom instructed her toddler son to sing Smith his favorite song, and Bryson immediately tore into the country star's latest hit, "You’re in It."

"Granger and I about fell out on the floor," Smith's tour manager, Chris Lee, tells Taste of Country.

Before leaving Smith's bus, Bryson also busted out a rendition of "We Do It in a Field"; and talked to Smith about his wife, Amber, and their three kids.

“Granger asked the parents to bring him to the stage during the show,” Lee recalls. “Normally, kids will clam up when they get on the stage and see the lights, but Bryson was unfazed."

Move over, Walmart Boy — it's Bryson's turn to shine!

Of course, Smith has always had a way with kids, as he has three of his own. In a recent interview with Taste of Country, Smith reflected on his decision to take some time away from the road to spend with his little ones.

"I’m trying to learn to slow down," he tells Taste of Country Nights Sam Alex about the break from full-blown touring that he plans to take come November and December. "It’s an art to learn how to slow down. I’m going to do a lot of school deliveries and pickups in the fall."
