If you’re planning a Halloween party, don’t get lazy with the treats and snacks. Just setting out big bowls of candy is not going to cut it.

Instead, how about Mummy Cookie Pops? Or Frankenstein Marshmallows? Or even Mis-Fortune Cookies?

The unbelievably talented Meaghan Mountford, author of the book ‘Cookie Sensations’ and owner of a site called ‘The Decorated Cookie Blog,’ has these ideas and more. Best of all, she tells you how to make each one.

    Mis-Fortune Cookies

    Instructions

Meaghan used a basic fortune cookie recipe, adding black frosting for color. Then, while the cookies were still warm, she folded them and inserted slips of paper with mis-fortunes like “A ghost will move into your attic,” “You’ll get candy corn stuck in your teeth…forever,” or “Zombies will knock on your door.” (She even has a set of mis-fortunes you can easily print and use.)
