The only thing we know for sure is that Hank Williams Jr will no longer be singing "Are You Ready For Some FOOOOOTBALLL????" on ESPN's Monday Night Football. Other than that, both sides are claiming they're the one that dumped the other.

Hank Jr released a statement to the AP on Thursday stating: "After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It's been a great run."

ESPN released a statement of it's own saying: "We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue."

ESPN says it's informed Hank Jr of it's decision early this morning.

The split came after Hank Jr's interview on Fox this past Monday where he compared a golf game between Obama and Republican Rep. John Boehner to an outing featuring Hitler and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hank Jr apologized earlier in the week saying "The thought of the leaders of both parties jukin and high fiven on a golf course, while so many families are struggling to get by simply made me boil over and make a dumb statement, and I am very sorry if it offended anyone,".

My thoughts? Glad you asked. Hank, WHY DID YOU APOLOGIZE??? I wish people would stop apologizing every time somebody gets their poor little feelings hurt. Good grief. ESPN, you're a bunch of cowards! Once again a major network has bowed down to the will of a handful of people.

I have a hard time believing that a large majority of Monday Night Football watchers were in any way offended by Hanks remarks. He made an analogy and just happened to use Hitler in it. Oh no. How dare he do such a thing?

What are YOUR thoughts on this? Were you offended by what Bocephus said?
