Hannah Blaylock Auditions for ‘The Voice’, Fails to Land a Team Spot

Former Edens Edge member Hannah Blaylock auditioned for The Voice Season 15, but failed to earn a spot on one of the show's four teams. Her audition aired on Monday night (Oct. 8).

For her The Voice audition, Blaylock performed Alison Krauss' "Baby, Now That I've Found You." Originally a Top 20 Billboard Hot 100 hit for the British soul band the Foundations in the late 1960s, Krauss recorded her version of the song in the mid-'90s, for a hits album, Now That I've Found You: A Collection.

While Blaylock did not get any of The Voice's four coaches -- including country star Blake Shelton -- to turn their chairs around during her audition, she received some support from fans on social media. Rascal Flatts also sent her a video message, letting Blaylock know they expect to see "great things" from her in the future.

Blaylock co-founded the country trio Edens Edge with Dean Berner and Cherrill Green in the early 2000s. After winning a CMT-sponsored contest, they relocated from their home state of Arkansas and signed with Big Machine Label Group in 2010. Their debut single, "Amen," was a Top 20 hit, and their self-titled debut album also reached the Top 10 on the charts.

In 2011 and 2012, Edens Edge toured with, among others, Brad Paisley, Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire and Rascal Flatts. In 2013, however, Blaylock left the trio "upon her own accord and with much disappointment." She signed a solo deal with BMLG later that year. Her 2017 solo album Bandit Queen was, she tells Taste of Country, influenced by the more alternative side of country.

"I feel like I can truly be whoever I am right now," Blaylock says.
