The Pleasant Grove Hawks football team is very close to wrapping up this years Kicker Cup City Championship.

The Hawks improved to a sterling 7-0 with a Homecoming rout over the Atlanta Rabbits last Friday winning 48-17.

The Arkansas High Razorbacks were eliminated from the competition with their overtime loss at home to Russellville 23-20. Liberty-Eylau was eliminated the week before when they fell at home to Paris.

The only Texarkana team challenging PG for the City Championship. The Texas High Tigers stayed alive with a 48-0 stomping of Mount Pleasant.

The Kicker Cup is a traveling trophy that is awarded each year by KKYR Kicker 102.5 Radio, to the Texarkana high school football team that finishes the regular season with the bes overall record.

Ties are broken by head to head match ups and total point differential. The radio station will go to the winning teams first playoff pep rally and present the trophy to the coach and players.
