A conviction and 60-year prison sentence has been upheld in connection with the theft of horses from Southern Arkansas University.The Arkansas Court of Appeals upheld the conviction and sentence of 40-year old Wendi Cox. Five horses were stolen from the Magnolia campus back in 2011. Four of the animals were found in bad condition in Southeast Oklahoma and another horse was found dead.

The defendants daughter, Jaci Jackson was also convicted in the case and sentenced to ten years in Arkansas and an additional 3 1/2 year in prison in Oklahoma in connection with the case.
