The third annual Live United Bowl has its host team ready to go.

Southwestern Oklahoma State from the Great American Conference has accepted its invitation to be the host team in the Division II College Bowl game to be played in Texarkana in December.

The Bulldogs finished second in the Great American Conference during the regular season and will be in post season action for the first time since 1996 after completing an 8-3 campaign.

Live United Bowl officials will hold a press conference on Wednesday to announce who the Bulldogs will be playing. The game itself will be played Saturday December 5, with a noon kickoff at Texarkana Razorback Stadium.

All proceeds above expenses, from both ticket sales and concession sales, will go to the local United Way of Greater Texarkana to help local organizations help local people in need.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $4 for students and children. You may purchase tickets online at texarkanabowl.com, or at any Mil-Way Federal Credit Union location. Also, tickets may be purchased at the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, or the United Way of Greater Texarkana office at  214 Spruce St, Texarkana, Texas, 75501

There will also be a Jeans, Boots, and BBQ Banquet the night before the game at the Texarkana, Ark., Convention Center. The banquet will be followed by a community pep rally at the center.

There will also be a 5K run that Saturday morning prior to the bowl game.
