This is where I usually dish out some hot air, sort of what your used to right? Well, what I mean to say is,  Hot Air Balloons are coming to Hope, Ark. in June. Take the 30-minute drive from Texarkana and I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's the 10th Annual Balloons of Hope at Hope Fair Park on Highway 174S  June 2-3 at 7:30 p.m. I have to admit there is something magical about observing these giant colorful balloons. I can remember when they had a similar event here in Texarkana a few years ago. I had the pleasure of going up in one of the balloons that was launched from the American Legion field. It was an experience I will never forget, the feeling was so surreal when your up there, because all you feel and hear is the wind blowing through your hair and the hot gases that fuel those huge balloons. I can remember flying over the radio station and landing in a field off Highway 71 North. If you ever get a chance to ride in one, I highly encourage you do it...It's Fantastic!

Now back to the Balloons of Hope event, there will also be Lawn Mower races on Saturday at noon, a kids fishing derby at 9 a.m. at Hukabee Lake in the park. Other activities include arts & crafts, food concessions, and "live" entertainment from Night Hawk both nights starting at 7 a.m. on the outdoor stage.

So bring your cameras for some great photos of the Balloon glow and make sure you take a tethered ride. RV hookups will be available at the park.

Wanted to give you a bird's eye view of what it feels like flying in  a balloon so check out this YouTube video.
