As part of an EPA grant, the Choctaw Nation’s “Going Green” program is holding a recycling collection event in Idabel, Okla., this Saturday, July 18, 2015.It will accept any type of electronics, working or not. The group will take things such as tires, which must be off the rim, old clothing, no longer needed medication and ammunition, light bulbs, old paint, household chemicals, motor oil, etc.

Now is your chance to clean out that garage and bring your items to 2408 E. Lincoln Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Idabel. Bring your gently used furniture, household appliances and clothing for reuse.

Household hazardous waste includes paints, pesticides, oil, cleaning fluids, photo chemicals, batteries, pool chemicals and more. Hazardous products are those that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive ingredients.
