Texarkana Arkansas Police continue to investigate a shooting incident which has left a 7 year old boy hospitalized in critical condition. Authorities were called to the Links Apartment on a shooting call and received a second call in reference to a juvenile with a gunshot wound who was at a local hospital.

Police say the shooting occurred at the Links Apartments and two people have been arrested and charged with  Battery 1st degree. They are 18 year old Devante Henderson and 24 year old Shameka Dewberry both of Texarkana. The gun used during the incident was recovered and had been reported stolen out of Dallas,  Texas.

President Barack Obama says there are multiple ways to resolve the debt ceiling mess, but it has to be bipartisan and it has to happen fast. The Presdient today urged Democrats and Republicans in the U.S. Senate to come together on a plan that can pass the House and that he can sign into law.

Tropical Storm Don expected to make landfall either late today or early tommorrow along the Texas Gulf Coast. His arrival and the rains that go along with the storm will be welcomed in desperately dry South Texas.
