Good Friday, Here are some stories making headlines  today:

A Memorial service is planned for 3pm this Friday afternoon for a former K-9 with the Texarkana ,  Arkansas Police Department.  "Bruno" passed away earlier this week at the age of 10 due to natural causes.

Bruno began his career with the department in October of 2003 and retired due to medical issues in February of 2010. Bruno excelled in the area of narcotics detection and was responsible for numerous narcotics seizures.

 In one year alone Bruno along with his partner Officer Kevin Bounds seized $280,000 worth of marijuana.  The memorial service is planned for 3pm today at East Memorial Gardetns in a special area near the front of the gardens that has been designated only for police K-9's. The ceremony is open to the public.

Oil Prices tumbled to around $93 dollars a barrel today amid a stronger dollar and mixed signals about the U.S. economy. Oil has fallen from around $115 dollars a barrel in early May to the lower levels of today.

Texas Governor Rick Perry will undergo minor back surgery on July 1st. A spokesman for the Governor says Perry has a "back ailment" and that the surgery has been planned for several months. The aide says the procedure will not change the governors schedule.

In Sports:

The U.S. Open of Golf, the second official major tournament of the golf season will continue thru Sunday at Congressional Country Club just outside Washington D.C.   Tiger Woods is not playing due to leg injuries that have not yet healed.
