J.W.’s News Update: Monday, November 21, 2011
November 21, 2011 10:23 AM The Texarkana Arkansas City Board meets tonight. The meeting begins at 5:30 with a City Budget Workshop followed by a Texarkana Water Utilities Workshop at 6:30 and the regular board of directors meeting at 7pm. The public is invited to attend the open portions of tonights meetings at city hall.

No one is holding out hope that there will be any last minute agreement to cut $1.2 Trillion dollars in deficits over the next decade. The special bi-partisan “supercommittee” of Congress is expected to call it quits today with no agreement. No agreement is supposed to mean automatic spending reductions across- the-board starting in 2013.

The Dallas Cowboys improved to 6-4 with an overtime victory on the road in D.C. yesterday. Next up is the Thanksgiving Day game at home vs. the Miami Dolphins.
