Good Thursday, Here are some stories making headlines today:
Texarkana Texas and Texarkana Arkansas Police joined forces to arrest two suspects accused in the hold up of an area business yesterday. According to Texas side Police they were called to a business in the 3300 block of Texas Boulevard shortly before 10am on the call of an aggravated robbery. The employee of the business stated that a male suspect entered the establishment produced a black colored handgun and demanded money.
The suspect and a female were observed driving away from the business and shortly thereafter were spotted by Arkansas side police while driving in the 3900 block of North Stateline Avenue. Arrested and charged with aggravated robbery 29 year old Anthony Lee Smith of Texarkana, Texas and 33 year old Latoya Deshaun Robinson of Texarkana, Arkansas. Both were transported to the Bi-State Justice Center Jail with bond set at $25,000 for Robinson and $100,000 for Smith. The investigation into the alledged crime continues today.
Areas of Southwest Arkansas experienced flooding conditions overnight into early this Thursday Morning. North of Texarkana overnight rains of 4 to 6 inches were reported with an additional 1-3 inches after sunrise. Texarkana received some much needed heavy rainfall this morning prompting Flash Flood Warnings for Northern Miller County on the Arkansas side of town.
The Annual Golf USA Golf Carnival is happening this Saturday at the Oak Grove Golf Club next to Red River Army Depot in Bowie County Texas. The event to benefit ” The First Tee of Greater Texarkana will be Saturday April 23rd from 9am-3pm, with lunch being served from 11 am to 1pm. Tickets are $20 dollars each and includes access to participating vendors , lunch and a round of golf, cart not included.

The Texas Rangers fell for the 2nd straight night at home to the visiting LA Angels dropping the Rangers into 2nd place behind the Angels. The 11-6 Rangers have the day off today before starting a weekend home series against the Kansas City Royals Friday night in Arlington.
