Texarkana, Texas Police are investigating an aggravated robbery which occurred yesterday at a convience store in the 5300 block of west 53rd street. Authorities say a black male suspect in his 20's demanded money at gunpoint from the clerk and fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect was described as 5'10" tall, 160 pounds wearing black sweat type pants, a black hoodie and a black bandana. He was accompanied by a female earing a red and white shirt and red pajama type pants with black stripes. The number of people seeking unemployment benefits dropped last week to the lowest level since early April, a sign the job market may be healing after a recent slump. The Labor Department says weekly applications fell 24,000 to a seasonally adjusted 398,000. That's the first time applications have fallen below 400,000 in 4 months.
