Good Thursday, Here are some stories making headlines today:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The wildfires continue smoldering and burning across Northeast and East Texas today. Dense Smoke Advisories remain in effect until at least Friday Mid Morning across that part of the Four States Area.

Counties included in the advisory includes:  Cass, Marion, Wood, Upshur, Harrison, Gregg, Smith, Rusk, Panola, Cherokee, Shelby, Nacogdoches, and Angelina Counties.

Light winds should be helping fire fighters in their effort to control these fires, but at the same time lighter winds make for less smoke dispersement in the immediate areas of the blazes.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Nate is meandering in the Bay of Campeche in the  extreme Southern portion of the Gulf of Mexico. Nate has maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour and is expected to strengthen some.
