The Bowie County Texas Sheriffs race is about to heat up. Mike Landers has announced that he will run in the Republican Primary next spring. Landers says he kick his campaign off with a November 12th speech at Smokey Joes Restaurant in Nash, Texas. The public is invited to attend the event.
Current Sheriff James Prince ran on the Democratic ballot.

The Taste of Home Cooking Show is happening this evening at the Four States Fair Entertainment Center. Doors open around 4pm with the show beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door for $12.

In Sports: Congratulations to the Texas High Tigers the winners of this years Kicker Cup City Championship. The Tigers have wrapped up their regular season with a 7-3 record, which beats last years winner L-E which is likely to finish the regular season at 6-4.
KKYR Radio and Red River Credit Union will make a trophy presentation at the Texas High Playoff Pep Rally next week.
