The Texarkana Texas City Council met last night. The members approved a budget that will include Cost of Living Adjustments for City Employees and a property tax increase for home owners.

The Circle J Cowboy Church will holding a special event to reaise money for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and the Arkansas Childrens Hospital. The event is dubbed the Toughest Cowboy/Last Bull Rider Standing. There will be a slent auction and donations accepted, but no charge for admission.

You are encouraged to wear pink and show your support for cancer awareness. The event will be held Saturday October 8th at 7pm at the Circle J Cowboy Church.

The Dallas Cowboys won their home opener over the Washington Redskins by a score of 18-16 last night on Monday Night Football on ESPN.
