Texarkana Texas Police say a local man is hospitalized and another behind bars after an altercation led to a stabbing incident. Authorities were called to the 100
block of Royale Street around 4:15 yesterday afternoon on a call of a disturbance.
When officers arrived they found the victim a 23 year old male had a stab wound to the leg. A 55 year old suspect was later arrested at a family member’s house in Bowie County. The investigation into what caused the incident is continuing today.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul finished a strong second in the New Hampshire Primary. Paul garnered 23% of the vote behind Mitt Romney’s 39%. Paul is now heading to South Carolina where Texas Governor Rick Perry is already campaigning hoping to get his faltering campaign back off the ground.
The USDA is planning on closing offices in 10 Arkansas Counties under a cost cutting plan announced this week by federal officials. The government agency plans to shut down 131 FSA offices in 32 states, with the largest number of closures coming in the states of Tennessee, Texas, and Arkansas. The affected offices in Arkansas include one in Lafayette County in the Southwest Part of the state.
