Texarkana, Texas Police are warning area residents about an e-mail scam. Authorities say the letter is purportedly sent from the F.B.I. and is said to be signed by the F.B.I. Director.

Police say the local field office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation says the letter is a complete scam. You are urged to not send any money or information and contact authorities if you receive such an e-mail.

Texas Side Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting incident which occurred earlier this week in the late night hours of Monday evening.  Authorities were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 800 block of Richmond Road to a call of shots fired.

A 41 year old victim had been shot in the face during an altercation with a male suspect. The victim was said to be uncooperative with police and investigators and was taken to a local hospital and treated and released. Authorities thru their investigation have issued a felony warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon for 19 year old John Edward Smith. If you have any information on the whereabouts of this suspect you are asked to call Texas side detectives or Texarkana Area Crimestoppers at (903) 793-stop.

Game #7 of the Stanley Cup Finals of Hockey is tonight in Vancouver. The Canucks and Boston Bruins are tied at 3 games a piece in the best of seven finals. So far the home team has won all of the first 6 games in the series.
