Texarkana Texas Police are looking for a bat wielding armed robber. Authorities were called last night to the 1600 Block of Spruce Street.

The victim says he was attacked by a short black male who appeared to be in his mid 20's. The suspect took the victims watch and an undetermined amount of cash. A witness was also struck with the bat.

The suspect was wearing a blue and pink long sleeved sweater and a brown and white hat. He was last spotted in the vicinity of West 17th Street and Texas Boulevard. The Miller County Arkansas County Judge has lifted the outdoor burn ban due to the recent rainfall. However the judge warns that conditions are not optimal for outside burning and to please use extreme caution and do not burn during high winds.

After a record hot summer time, many are enjoying in the relief of cooler weather. However, don't count Arkansas Cotton farmers in that group. Cotton growers say they need warm days and overnight lows of at least 65 degrees for their crops to thrive.

The Texas Rangers begin a series tonight in Oakland against the A's. The Rangers begin play with a five  game lead over the second place LA Angels in the American League West with less than 2 weeks to go in the regular season.
