The Texarkana, Arkansas Police Department has announced that its officers will be out in full force during the long Fourth of July Holiday period. Police will be cracking down on impaired driving with an aggressive Drunk Driving, over the limit under arrest enforcement effort.

During the July 4th holiday period back in 2009 there were a total of 410 traffic-related fatalities. Of thsoe 40% involved a driver or motorcycle rider with a BAC of .08 or higher.

Authorities will be looking for those driving under the influence and they urge you to also buckle up and make sure children are properly secured in the back seat of  vehicles.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is cutting gas prices by 10 cents a gallon for three months. The world's biggest retailer says customers visiting participating Murphy USA and Wal-Mart gas stations from today thru September 30th will receive the discount on all fuel, gas, and diesel purchases when they use a reloadable Wal-Mart Gift Card, Wal-Mart MoneyCard, or a Wal-Mart Credit Card.

The Texas Rangers beat the Houston Astros in interleague baseball play last night. The Rangers were 7-3 winners at Houston's Minute Maid Park.
