Country artist Jana Kramer is in the process of writing new music for her second album.

The "Whiskey" and "Why Ya Wanna" singer penned two songs on her self-titled debut CD that was released in 2012. Kramer, a Michigan native, started her career as an actress, appearing in shows like Entourage, Friday Night Lights, and Grey's Anatomy.

She is best known for her role as Alex Dupre on the former CW hit show One Tree Hill, a role that allowed her to showcase her musical talent. She was a part of the show from 2009-2012. Kramer left the show in its final season to focus on her music.

Kramer has been nominated for two Academy of Country Music Awards, winning the award for Top New Female Artist in 2013. She is currently on tour with Lady Antebellum and Kip Moore. Kramer will also be a part of the Tropical Nights" Boots in the Sand Getaway with Dierks Bentley, Billy Currington, and Brantley Gilbert. The five-day event will take place Feb. 23-27.
