Whether they admit it or not, every country artist would like to take home at least one Entertainer of the Year trophy in their career.  The hard part is figuring out what it takes to win the thing.

So here's a suggestion:  Study someone who has won eight of them, like ALABAMA.  That's what JASON ALDEAN did.  He says, quote, "I loved Alabama.  RANDY OWEN is one of the best entertainers I've ever seen.

"While I was growing up, it was watching guys like that, guys who not only sang but had a great show and worked the crowd into a frenzy.  That, to me, is an entertainer."

(Jason is one of this year's nominees for ACM Entertainer of the Year.  The others are Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.)

Speaking of Alabama, they've been added to the performer's list at the ACMs ... as have Dierks Bentley, Reba McEntire, Blake Shelton, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and James Taylor.

Previously announced performers are Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean and Keith Urban. (The ACMs are April 3rd on CBS.)
