John Anderson Live in Concert Hempstead Hall April 11 [VIDEO]

The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana  presents the legendary John Anderson live in concert at Hempstead Hall in Hope, Ark.  It's his 30th Anniversary Swingin’ Tour April 11 at 6 p.m.

Anderson will be performing some of his biggest hits. His song “I’m Just an Old Chunk of Coal” was his first Top 5 hit, and “Wild and Blue” spent two weeks at No. 1 in 1982. Then “Swingin’” was released, and shot to No. 1, becoming one of his signature hits. The smash single won a CMA award, and Anderson won the CMA Horizon Award.

In the early 90s, John began working on the album Seminole Wind. From this album, Anderson released the single “Straight Tequila Night,”  and it shot to No. 1, setting the stage for five more years of hits, including Mark Knopfler’s “When It Comes to You," “Seminole Wind” and the No. 1 “Money in the Bank,” which got him nominated for CMA’s Male Vocalist, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
