Remember back in April when we were all excited about the news that John L. Smith had been hired to replace Bobby Petrino? Oh, no? Me neither.

It didn't take long after the Hogs loss to LSU on Friday for Jeff Long to announce that the failed John L Smith experiment was over. Shocker, I know. He was such a likeable guy. Why on earth would Jeff Long fire this guy? Maybe it his brilliant decision NOT to go for it on 4th and a foot in the fourth quarter against LSU. It could be because, against La Monroe, he wisely chose to continue throwing the ball instead of making ANY attempt at running to put the game away which resulted in a loss to a glorified high school team. Maybe it was due to Arkansas' first shut out at home since the 50's. I just can't figure it out, the players seemed to LOVE him. Maybe they got tired of being told to "smile!" or being patted on the butt and told to get their heads up.

All I can say is thank goodness this season is over and John L and the rest of these coaches are now searching for jobs. I know, I know, I sound like a disgruntled post office employee, but enough is enough. I really don't care who the next coach is at this point as long as they bring some respect back to the program because the Hogs have been nothing but a laughing stock since Petrino rode his Harley off the road with his mistress on he back of it.

Now where's the Tylenol??!!!?
