Looking for a little Independence Day fun? This year the celebration takes place a bit early with Sparks in the Park on June 30.

Texarkana pulls out all the stops for the 10th annual fireworks extravaganza held at the Four States Fairgrounds located on Loop 245. The event is free and open to the public. But with all the construction going on, traffic may be a bit hairy for the event this year, so come early. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the show will start at 9:30 p.m. See the attached map for detailed directions.

At 8 p.m., local favorite Copper Road takes to the stage to perform their southern rock and red dirt country music we've all come to love.

Finally, at 9:30 p.m. it is time for the main event, the fireworks display everyone comes for by Carl Standridge with Liberty Pyrotechnic of Texarkana.

And So Much More...
