5-year-old Kaden was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma last August. You would think that a young child with a deadly brain tumor would stand no chance, but you're wrong.

Kaden is a lake-lover, and last August before he was diagnosed that was where you could find him and his family. He loves being outdoors, riding dirt bikes and going water skiing. All of that changed however when a CT scan revealed every parent's worst nightmare.

A medulloblastoma is a rare brain tumor that is very fast growing.

Kaden was admitted into St. Jude Children's Research Hospital immediately. After having surgery to excise the tumor, four rounds of chemotherapy and over a month of radiation therapy treatments, Kaden is doing much better.

He still goes to St. Jude's for regular checkups and has regained a lot of his strength.

His mother was grateful to St. Jude's during this difficult time. She was especially appreciative of all the resources available and the things they have to keep the children occupied during their stay.

Even though Kaden's story may seem tragic at first, he is alive and living life to the fullest even at his young age. It's always great to remember that there is always a silver lining to every dark cloud.
