We posted the list of nominations for the "47th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards", and even though he didn't get any love last year, Kenny Chesney is back on top this year with NINE nominations.

Jason Aldean had a pretty big year, so I had to expect him to have a pretty good showing, and he did with 6 nominations.

Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean are also nominated for Entertainer of the Year . . . along with Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. Taylor won last year, and Kenny has won four times, so I'm thinking it will be Brad or Blake, which I think would be cool either way, however, I will be spittin' mad, if Chesney's "Hemingway's Whiskey" doesn't get "Album of The Year".

Lady Antebellum did well, picking up five nominations, but by some horrible mistake the lovely Miranda Lambert only got two ACM nods.  Even Toby Keith's "Red Solo Cup" got two nominations, and it's just a joke song... (that he has been accused of "borrowing" from someone else).

Just like before, YOU to pick the New Artist and there are eight semi-finalists including Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, small town Arkansas boy Justin Moore, and Idol winner Scotty McCreery. (You can cast your vote, here...  You have until January 30th.) They will announce the final three nominees March 19th, and voting closes the night of the ACMs.

The show airs on Sunday, April 1st, on CBS, and will be hosted by Blake Shelton and Reba McEntire.

I do think Kenny should get "Album of the Year", if only because of this song right here with Grace Potter...
