Kicker 102.5 Helps Celebrate Grand Opening of New Salvation Army Family Store

The new Salvation Army Family Store located on Walton drive in Texarkana had its Grand Opening last Friday, June 29. I was there for the live broadcast and I was impressed by the new store and all that it had to offer to the shopper.The new store, which formerly was Rex electronics, has been re-painted and re-furbished from the outside to the inside. A drop-off area was added for those who make donations to the center. The store features everything from furniture, bedding, electronics, housewares, books, shoes, clothing for men, women, and kids of all ages.

The chamber of commerce was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremonies and the crowd was entertained by local musicians The Kosmic Girlz and Koltrane band. There were hourly drawings for prizes during the Grand Opening and hot dogs were being cooked outdoors for everyone who stopped by to see the new store.
