Kicker gears up for the Country Cares For St. Jude Kids Radiothon

Kicker 102.5 will be hosting the Country Cares for St. Jude Kid’s Radiothon on February 24 & 25, 2011 from 6am to 6pm daily. Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® is one of the most successful radio fund-raising events in America. St. Jude Children Research Hospital has been actively involved in Radiothon fund-raising for more than 30 years. In fact, hundreds of radio stations across the country have helped raise more than $385 million for the life-saving work of St. Jude, and the St. Jude family of partner stations continues to expand.

Patients at St. Jude Children Research Hospital are treated without regard to race, religion, or ability to pay. Families without insurance or money are never asked to pay. St. Jude covers all costs of treatment beyond those reimbursed by third party insurers and total costs when no insurance is available. They also provide assistance with transportation costs and local living expenses during treatments. These costs are primarily covered by public contributions. And, St Jude shares research throughout the world to help find a cure for cancer.

Kicker 102.5 and listeners raised over $620,000 for St. Jude’s children over the years.
