Congratulations to KKYR.com VIP winners Matt Malaby and Sharon Maynard they both won tickets to see the All-American Road Show with Chris Stapleton , Marty Stuart and Brent Cobb at CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, LA., on Saturday, October 21.

This singer, songwriter and guitarist from Lexington, Kentucky has made is mark in country music with his down to earth good ol' boy attitude. When you see and hear Stapleton sing, it's like taking a trip back in time when country music was country and storytelling was a part of the artistry.  He is reminiscent of artists like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and Merle Haggard who captivated their fans with real emotional country songs.  In fact, with his long beard and mustache he could of easily fit into the outlaw movement in country music in the 70s and early 80s.

Chris has not only written songs for such greats like George Strait, Kenny Chesney, and Darius Rucker but has appeared on numerous country stars albums. Well respected within the country music industry, Stapleton won awards for Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year at both the 2016 CMA and ACM Awards. He also won a Grammy for Best Country Album just to name a few according to Wikipedia.

With hits like "Nobody To Blame," and "Parachute" and his soulful blues version of "Tennessee Whiskey,"  Chris Stapleton is giving country music a fresh new sound in a pop driven format.
