The Kicker Cup City Championship trophy is to be presented to the Pleasant Grove Hawks at their pep rally this Friday morning at the high school.

The rally will also honor the Senior football players on what will be their last game played at home. It's a Blackout Pep Rally and Game with Hawk Nation asked to wear their black.

John Williams from KKYR Radio, and a representative from Red River Federal Credit Union will be at the Pep Rally to present the trophy to Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Josh Gibson, staff, and team.

The traveling trophy is awarded each year to the Texarkana football team that finishes the regular season with the best over all record, and is deemed, "The Best Football Team in Texarkana."

Once again congratulations to the Hawks and good luck in the upcoming playoffs.

Thanks to Rogers Trophy and Signs for donating the trophy back in 1996 and each year engraving the winning teams name on the huge trophy.

Also thanks to the Kicker Cup City Championship sponsor, Red River Federal Credit Union.

The Pep Rally will be held inside the Competition Gym on the Pleasant Grove High School Campus starting around 11:20 Friday morning . Later that night the Hawks take on the Gladewater Bears at Hawk Stadium, with pre-game festivities starting at 7 and the kickoff at 7:30.

Way to go Hawks!!
