The Liberty-Eylau Leopards are moving into a new conference this fall in high school football and they feel good about their playoff chances.

Coach Steve Wells says, "Got some play makers back, but will also be inexperienced in spots, Should be better defensively." The Leopards new conference includes Pleasant Grove, Gilmer and Pittsburgh among others.

The Leopards will also play Arkansas High, Texas High and Atlanta among others in non-conference play this fall.

Among players that Coach Wells listed to watch this year include Quarterback Isiah Cross, who gets high praise from Wells, "Great athlete who can run and throw, moves to QB position this year!"

Dazawion Cooper, will be receiving and playing some safety. Wells says he has a chance to be a Division I college receiver.

Defensively Wells says the Leopards have a really good inside linebacker with a nose for the ball in Cedric Dickerson.

Also coach is looking for big things from Korbyn White who is the fastest player on the team for L-E. White will see action at running back and inside slot and some corner back work on defense.

The Leopards also have a dangerous weapon on kick and punt returns in fast junior Shannon Roy.

As always look for the Leopards to light up the scoreboard again this year, and as we mentioned earlier be improved on defense. That combination could lead the Leopards into a long playoff run. That's something that Coach Wells has made a habit of over the years and don't expect that to change this year.

Should be another exciting year of L-E football.

GO LEOPARDS!!!
