Lake Greeson Days at Daisy State Park June 17-19

The place to be this weekend is Daisy State Park for Lake Greeson Days, Friday, June 17-19, 2016.

This event will include the 27th Annual Kids Fishing Derby where there will be a prize for the biggest fish, smallest fish, and the first fish caught.  There will also be a variety of contests, programs, and tours during this three-day event. A park guide will help you discover some hidden secrets about Daisy State Park and Lake Greeson I bet you didn't know about.

Do you like to kayak? There will a Kayaking Challenge where you will be tested on paddling through an obstacle course on Lake Greeson. There will also be a cast iron cookware demonstration where participants will learn about the history of cast iron cooking, not to mention learn some cooking techniques and sample some tasty treats. And to top things off, visitors can take a scenic cruise on Lake Greeson to learn about the history of the lake and its natural beauty. Don't be surprised if you see some wildlife while touring the area.
