There is nothing quiet like heading outdoors this time of year for some fresh air and the natural beauty that surrounds you at a place called Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs National Park Arkansas. This weekend (April 28-30) will be the last opportunity to take advantage 'Tulip Extravaganza' going on in the gardens.

Between the twisting pathways, stone bridges and cascading waterfalls, lies the serene  beauty of the spring season with an array of flowers in bloom. Daffodils, hyacinths, crocus, azaleas are just a few of the many colorful flowers in bloom. But if you've never seen over 150,000 Dutch tulips in full bloom, you're in for a real treat. Nestled in between towering pine trees that stretch along a 4 1/2 mile shoreline of Lake Hamilton, Garvan Woodland Gardens is a photographers dream for capturing some very special moments.

While your there make sure you visit the Anthony Chapel Complex an all wood beam, glass structure that overlooks the meditation garden. This is a special venue used for weddings, concerts and other events throughout the year.

A walk through Tulip Extravaganza and no I didn't tip-toe through the tulips.

When you're in Hot Springs I highly encourage you to visit this amazing 210-acre garden  to help create some very special memories with your family.
